All classes listed below are fully certified by the American Heart Association. All classes include: Student Manual and E-Card.

The American Heart Association’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate breaths and ventilations, and provide early use of an AED. The course reflects science and education from the 2025 American Heart Association Guidelines for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). A minimum of three students is required for this class.

• High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
• BLS concepts from the Chain of Survival
• Delivering effective breaths or ventilations
• Importance of early use of and how to use an AED
• Performance as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR
• Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults, children, and infants

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED teaches participants how to give first aid, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and use an automated external defibrillator safely and effectively. The course is offered in three training formats: blended learning, classroom training, and self-directed learning.

Two course options are available:

Heartsaver Total meets OSHA and regulatory requirements with comprehensive training, while Heartsaver Basic offers a more flexible option that does not meet regulatory requirements.

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED teaches the lifesaving skills of first aid, CPR and AED including:

• First aid basics
• Medical emergencies
• Injury emergencies
• Environmental emergencies
• Preventing illness and injury
• Adult CPR and AED use
• Choking help for an Adult, Child or Infant
• Drowning response and prevention
• Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies
• Optional modules in Child CPR AED and Infant CPR

Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED gives participants the skills to respond to common illnesses and injuries in infants and children, including bleeding, burns, allergic reactions, breathing problems, and more. The course also covers serious emergencies such as shock, seizures, head or spinal injuries, and drowning prevention and response.

Training also includes CPR AED use, and choking relief for Infants and Children, with an option to add adult modules.

Heartsaver CPR AED teaches participants how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) safely and effectively. The course is based on the latest science-based guidance from the American Heart Association.

Heartsaver CPR AED covers essential lifesaving skills, including:

• Recognizing the signs of a heart attack or stroke
• Adult CPR and AED use
• Choking relief for adults, children, and infants
• Drowning prevention and response
• Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies
• Optional modules in Child CPR AED and Infant CPR

Heartsaver First Aid teaches participants how to recognize common first aid emergencies, call for help, and respond with lifesaving first aid skills.

Heartsaver First Aid covers essential first aid topics, including:

• First aid basics
• Medical emergencies
• Injury emergencies
• Environmental emergencies
• Illness and injury prevention
• Choking relief for adult, children, and infants
• Drowning prevention and response
• Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies

The Family & Friends CPR Course teaches the lifesaving skills of adult Hands-Only CPR, adult CPR with breaths, child CPR with breaths, adult and child AED use, infant CPR, and mild and severe airway block for adults, children, and infants. Skills are taught in a dynamic group environment using the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which provides students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible. Includes Student Manual, available in English and Spanish, No E-card.

• Classroom format works well for learners who prefer group interaction and feedback while learning skills
